NanoInventum · SCIENCE EXPLAINER
Imagining a nanorobot also means learning to question it.
A model is a tool for thinking, explaining and debating.

The starting point
In NanoInventum, pupils investigate a challenge, imagine a proposal and represent it with a model. This is an educational activity: the model is not a working nanoscale device.
What we know
The process connects teamwork, dialogue with experts and public communication. The question is not only what the invention would do, but also where its energy would come from, how it would be recovered and what unintended effects it might have.
Questions to ask
Molecular machines and experimental systems for motion at small scales belong to specific research contexts. They do not demonstrate the existence of universal autonomous robots capable of solving any environmental or medical problem.
